Lively vs second life - Good Comparison

With the launch of Google’s Lively, the fully immersible virtual world becomes a mainstream experience, though Second Life got there first. Lively’s a whole new level of networking—an interactive, 3D meshing of ‘real life’ with your virtual presence. It’s got text, audio, video... But one ‘new medium’ had precisely these attributes earlier: computer games. So, what makes Lively so different?

Great In-depth Google Lively Review

Google isn't satisfied with dominating just one part of the Web, even if it is a fantastically lucrative one. The past few years have seen the search giant getting into all sorts of new areas, whether through development or purchase. Sometimes these forays are big news—think YouTube—and other times they're flops. Remember the Jaiku microblogging service? The company's latest online venture, Google Lively, enters the world of virtual online worlds dominated by Second Life and, to some extent, World of Warcraft. I tried out this new app (which is, of course, in beta) to see if it's a serious challenge to the big players.

Google Lively- Step-by-Step Guide!

Lively (apparently code named Fiji and Google Rooms, and previously nicknamed Google Metaverse by some outside Google) is a three-dimensional chat world by Google. You navigate your avatar to talk to others, show your emotions, and, if you want to, build your own rooms for your website. Lively runs inside the browser but needs a Windows installation first to work.
